Ive been a member at Massage Envy for a long time, and I've always gone to Gahanna, but lately I've been concerned. One of the front desk girls clearly has a drug problem, as I've seen her falling asleep at the desk numerous times when I come for my visits. I dont want to get her in trouble so I decided to come forward through a online review so hopefully a manager or fellow associate can see this and get her the help she needs. I lost a son to a battle with addiction and I would hate to see something happen to this young lady.
The massage therapist didn't focus on the area that I asked her to which was frustrating because that was the whole purpose of me getting a massage. They don't tell you that the membership is annual for the first year until they get you in there and book a service for you. The website said it's month to month so that is false advertising. Also the therapist talked through half of the massage so it took away some of the relaxation. It wasn't the worst massage and I'm going to give them another chance with a different therapist.
Completely unprofessional, the clinic manager looked more like she was hanging out with her friends rather than running a business. They just rehired someone they fired for stealing (who also happens to be the clinic managers best friend) purposefully pushing out a good loyal hard worker. It's too bad the management is such a circus because there are some dedicated front desk workers and some extremely talented therapists and estheticians there.
I scheduled for appointments at the same time one month in advanced to ensure they could accommodate me yet two days before the appointment they called and cancelled because something came up for the therapist. This was a complete inconvience for me considering I had 3 girls driving 2.5 hrs and this is what they wanted to do so the only resolution was for me to sit and wait while they enjoyed massages. I will never return to this location clearly they are not customer driven.
I would not recommend this place at all. The staff is rude and unprofessional. I've had a horrible experience and will not be returning.
